For us, the family and the candidate are our priority. We care about you. There are databases on internet and to access their services, you have to pay a fee, invest your time in researching and selecting the candidate yourself. These services do not offer any type of guarantee service and they do not guarantee to find the right person.
In F&A, candidates and families go through a selection process, whose main objective is to know in depth the personality and objectives of both parties, so that their compatibility is maximum, giving them the most pleasant experience and in the best way.
We will provide help and assistance during the employment relationship to the candidate and the family. We will help you to manage the residence permit or salaries. On Internet, this is not possible.
Finally, we help you to make this process an unique experience.
We recommend making your request as soon as possible, so we have a better chance of finding the right person for your needs.
There are variables that help the outcome, like the time of year you ask, the time you want to hire that person, and of course, what you’re willing to offer the person (there are families that offer a higher wage than usual, the monthly transport abonnement, etc.)
Most candidates prefer a long-term contract, but requests for short contracts are also received, such as au pairs. Please contact us if this is your case.
Our goal is for both parties to be as compatible as possible and for the experience to be unique. Sometimes there may be conflicting situations in the coexistence and in this case, you should contact us so that we can help you. If the differences cannot be resolved, we will try to find you another person as soon as possible and always respecting the terms and conditions.
Our services are mainly for families with children over 2 years old (in the case of au pairs). However, if the person has demonstrable work experience caring for children under the age of 2, or a professional qualification which qualifies them to care for children of this age, we will place them with a family that requires this type of care.
Most of the requesting participants are women, although sometimes we receive requests from men as well.
Registration fees are considered management fees. Our service begins when we receive the form from the family, At this time we start the search for a suitable person for them and it is non-refundable.
For the management of the residence permit of your employee (in the event that the candidate hasn’t it), we can provide all the information necessary to manage it to the foreigners service of the canton where you live.
For the management of payroll and compulsory charges according to the law, we have our collaborator “QUITT” who will help you to deal with it in a very simple way.

The time to find a family for the aupair depends on the time of the year. Normally it takes 2-3 months from the time we receive all the documentation.
The sooner you send us your application and all the documentation we require, the better our chances of finding a family that matches your profile. It is important to consider your language level in the country, the time you want to spend here, your qualities, your flexibility, etc.
The more information you include about yourself, your hobbies, your experience with children, the easier it will be to find a family.

If your stay is less than 3 months, we do not guarantee relocation given the short time available to locate another family.
You must have knowledge of French, Italian or German (depending on the canton) Most families are looking for an au pair who can communicate in their language, if your level is basic, it will be more difficult to find a family quickly.

Our standard program is for families with children over 2 years old. However, if you have relevant experience and qualifications and would like to take part in caring for children under 2yo, please indicate this on your application as this may increase your chances of finding a suitable family.
This part is important to consider. For example, you will need to buy a transport ticket, the monthly cost of which varies from CHF 45 to CHF 70 depending on your place of residence, pay for your telephone calls or even buy a mobile card, language courses, excursions, going out between friends… It all depends on your preferences, so that you can enjoy it to the fullest, we recommend that you have some money saved.

You have to know how to speak French, Italian or German (depending on the canton) but there are always families who prefer the person to speak another language, for example Spanish, Portuguese or English. It will depend on the conditions the family needs.
In order to apply for a residence permit, you must have a European or Swiss Passport. Otherwise, we regret to inform you that you will not be able to apply for a job with one of our families.
In case you do not have a residence permit, we help both the family and you on the procedure to follow to obtain it from the foreigners service of the canton where you live, but we do not manage it directly.

Candidates with degrees in childcare or maintenance and cleaning will have a better chance of having the possibility of working with a family. However, if you have extensive experience in childcare and cleaning, as well as references that verify this experience, you may have the opportunity to have interviews with families who assess whether your profile is what the family is looking for.
